Workshop Details:
Join us for a special IN-PERSON cooking class hosted by Sonoko Sakai in the Los Angeles’ Highland Park neighborhood. The workshop will take place in Sonoko’s kitchen-studio.
**Following sign-up, our team will email you with a PDF file. This file includes the additional workshop details, including event address, parking instructions, a “what to bring” list, and more. Contact us here if you have any lingering questions about this workshop.
After the workshop, I'll have products available for purchase for those who sign up for the March 23 workshop, including:
Sonoko’s homemade curry for tasting
Homemade miso
Oro Blanco furikake and shrub drink
Baked goods
Yagicho Honten specialty products
Products from Yagicho Hoten
I'm excited to share some special products I brought home from my childhood friend's family store in Tokyo, Yagicho Honten. Their shop has been family-owned for 288 years (since 1737!), and they make some of the best traditional Japanese ingredients that I’ll have available for sale at my pop-up on March 23:
Bonito flakes
Furikake
Kombu
Nori
Hand-pulled dried Handa somen noodles
