Workshop Details:
Join us for a special IN-PERSON cooking class to celebrate the Lunar New Year! Hosted by Sonoko Sakai in the Los Angeles’ Highland Park neighborhood. The workshop will take place in Sonoko’s kitchen-studio. During this class, we’ll work together to make delicious, juicy dumplings completely from scratch, including the wrappers! You’ll learn how to make a few different fillings (vegetarian, and meat!), and a variety of methods for wrapping and cooking your dumplings. We’ll also make a shrimp dumpling soup from my latest cookbook Wafu Cooking. And last but not least, we’ll make sweet black sesame mochi dumplings with ginger brown sugar syrup for dessert!
