Made with Sonoko's beautiful Oro Blanco (Spanish for "white gold") grapefruit, harvested from her 50 year-old tree. Every part of this native Californian fruit is used, from juice, pulp, pith and rind.

CLASSIC FLAVOR NOTES: Floral and fresh, the fruit is this batch is left to macerate overnight and then gently cooked to release its flavor. The final product is a lighter and more bittersweet preserve. Delicious served with toasted sourdough and butter or warm scones.

Ingredients: cane sugar, Oro Blanco grapefruit, lemon juice.

The Oro Blanco Story

I bought my house in Highland Park ten years ago because I fell in love with this Oro Blanco tree which produces 100s of fruit every year. This year, we had to do a major pruning of the tree and turned the fruit into beautiful marmalade, candied peel, sorbet and fermented juice. With everything I do, it's about using the best produce I can find and not wasting anything.
